For a few moments
It looked sunny outside
Like it was going to be
A decent day
But the wind blew in
Bringing the clouds
And the cold
And the gloom
Tomorrow shall be worse
As I fear
Even though
I’ll need to get outside
Into fresh air

Gray and gloomy
Darkened office
Bleak beige walls
Overcast skies
Ice covered lake
Godforsaken land
Reflects the gloom
No sign of bright
Nor sign of life
Visible
From the gray tower
I find myself
Locked away within
Soon enough
Life will return
Coupled with joy
With the growing sun
And warmer weather
But will it be
Soon enough
