Tired
As always
A bit of a headache
Feeling chilled
Layered up
Sweats and bathrobe
Watching the weather
Accumulate outside
Counting the hours
The days
Biding my time
Until it’s time
To join the world

To the living room

In a circle
While patiently waiting
For the mountains
To come into view
To let me

Can only get out
To run a few miles
And see a few faces
Along the way
No real interaction
Just a smile
And a wave
As I jog on past
For the rest of the hours
I’ve just been
Me in my head

Of reaching out

Hammered out in text
Across computer screens
To keep me sane
